41. Take some kind of a cardio Kickboxing/Boxing class

So last October I started taking the abs class at my gym because I never did abs so I figured that would be a way to get in better shape. Then I discovered boot camp, I went once last year but since January I have been going basically weekly, Boot camp has often worn me down to the point where the instructor told me I looked pale and kept asking if I was alright. Finally, about a month ago I started doing a cardio kickboxing class. The whole reason for putting that on the list was to get me to take these kinds of classes since I hate running and it was a way for me to get in shape. I am doing 3-4 classes a week and am thinking about adding a yoga as a fifth which would be the next item down. So the whole online discount sites are assisting in my list. Last month I bought a skydiving jump for 60% off, Stout & Holbrook did as well so we need to schedule when we are jumping out of the plane it but will be happening this summer I also bought a cheap round of golf to a course in Brooklyn. Finally I have come up with a new list item since I have to be over 400 days by now. I want to run a Tough Mudder. There is one in November in NJ. If I put it here I have to do it so sign me up

15. Do a 360 on Skis off a Jump

So I finally have something to cross off, and it kind of came out of nowhere. I went up to VT to ski with Phinney & Holbrook but when we woke up Saturday morning the wind was so intense at the Mt. that the summit was closed and more than ½ the trails were too. Fortunately the cottage we were at was in the middle of the woods and had a nice big hill for us to play on. Snow tubing turned into getting our ski gear out, building a jump and throwing ourselves off. My 1st 360 attempt ended with me landing backwards and almost screwing up my bindings. After 2 more close but failed attempts it was time. With Phinney, Holbrook & Snuggs standing right next to the jump I made my approach, uncorked off the jump and landed feet first and road it out with my hands held high.

I wish there were real photo’s of the jumping but for some reason the group up there took about a million photo’s when people were just standing around drinking but apparently taking their camera’s outside was dangerous. I included the pic of the hill that I took on my phone, so it is kind of shitty. I do at least have witnesses, but I have no idea how much air I was getting or what I looked like spinning around. Apparently I need to get a real camera so I can document life. Crossing this off the list made me realize 2 things. 1st a 720 is going to be ridiculous and might be more dangerous than I want to attempt unless it is under the right circumstances. 2nd I need to spend more time doing and less time being a piece of shit. There are plenty of things I could be working on that I am simply not. Work is not an excuse and laying around should not be acceptable. One thing I would like to work on is skiing in 5 states I have never skied in before. The states would have to be outside of: Mass, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, New York, Colorado & Utah. Let’s see what we can make happen.

Random thoughts for today

People who own dogs in cities should remember that snow melts, shit doesn't

Redhead should be its own category on porn websites

I don't care what Steve says I believe in BB & TB and fully expect them to take care of the mouthy Jets this weekend, 31-10 Pats

Why Hello...

So that didn't work. I wanted to get real focused on the list then work actually got better and busy and now its January and where am I. Well I did play a few rounds of golf, including a 92, which was the only round under 1oo. I also have been cooking more, stir fry mostly, its meat with onions and whatever else I can find over rice, pretty easy but a lot of variations. Also I am going to take care of my shoulder. I have let it go too long and it is starting to bother me to much so I am gonna start working with a personal trainer to strengthen it.

So other than that Not much to report on the list, although 2 other list related notes: 1st Becca I am very disappointed in you. you gave me the list & blog idea and you gave up. that is weak, man up and get it done. On the flip side of that I have passed the list on to Jen Wright, who not only made a list but set it up so she comes here to visit and wants to me take her to a Broadway show. I have to say well done on that one, use the list to its full potential.

Also I failed at one thing, giving away my token. I carried it for a year, and when that year came up i really wanted to give it to someone who would do the same, but that was hard to do because you never know who will actually care enough to keep it, so I still have it. It resides in my bag, i still need to give it away but it was harder than I thought.

so to try and get me to be more active on this site I am going to start posting random thoughts, kind of like things i would have put up on facebook as a status or something, lets see how this goes...
